To begin with, one of the best winter and spring activities is hiking. The cooler temperatures are ideal for exploring the countless routes. The «Camí de Cavalls» is the most popular one. It is a 185 km path that surrounds the island, through the rugged coast, pine forests, and the most spectacular beaches. It can be done by bike, walking, or even on horseback. Regardless of the means you choose, there are routes for all levels, from beginners to experienced hikers.

Both along the «Camí de Cavalls» and on your own, Monte Toro is worth a visit. It is the highest mountain in Menorca, with its 357 meters, and offers the best views, as well as being located in a central and strategic point of the island. Whether you stay in the Ciutadella or Mahón area, it is a highly recommended visit.

Another lesser-known visit than Monte Toro is the castle of Santa Águeda in Ferreries. It is the third highest mountain and can be accessed up to its ruins with about 45 minutes of walking. Its views are breathtaking and it is easily accessible. Another available activity is bird watching. The island has a great variety of species, and there are numerous guided tours. The protection of its flora and fauna is one of its main values.
